It was then further refined by David Tepava, veteran steerer and coach of the legendary Shell Va’a team. Their combined expertise has resulted in a paddle that delivers exceptional precision, comfort, and responsiveness – engineered to meet the demands of elite-level steering. Constructed from high-performance multiaxial carbon fiber, the Peperu is available in two shaft options: Carbon Shaft: Ultra-lightweight for enhanced agility. Bamboo Shaft: Slightly heavier, offering superior impact resistance. Both versions are stiff, durable, and built to perform in the toughest racing environments. Choose your blade to match your conditions: Small Blade: Ideal for calm to moderately choppy waters. Long Blade: Designed for heavy conditions and powerful steering.
